To find recruitment in a regional rural bank, an aspirant must take the Common Written Examination (CWE). The examinee is thoroughly tested and this is held under the supervision of the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS).  A big plus working for a regional rural bank is that there are a plethora of positions offered. • Starting Positions in a RRB
If you are interested in being employed by the RRB you will start off as an Office Assistant and then rise up to the position of an Assistant. After this there comes the post of Officer Scale 1. This can be likened to a management trainee position. Like any starting position the intention is to learn about the job which is precisely what they do.  

A great aspect is that you learn a lot on the job. A prominent feature here is that there will be a lot of multitasking as the employee will have to work in cohesion with the numerous departments. Those who like desk jobs should apply here as there is clerical work in large numbers.  Filing papers and data entry are some of the clerical tasks.

• Scope for Promotion
If you are a RRB employee you need not worry about promotion prospects. The first two years are considered to be the probationary period. After the employee has gained a sufficient amount of experience he or she will rise to the rank of Assistant Manager.  

When it comes to promotion RRBs have the same structure as any public sector. Next up in the promotion hierarchy is Manager and then Senior Manager. Every increase in stature brings about more perks. Also, you start dealing with more prominent people.
